HON JENISTA MHAGAMA CALLS ON NSSF DIRECTOR GENERAL TO DELIGENTLY TANSFORM THE FUND
The Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office responsible for Policy, Parliament affairs, Labour, Youth, Employment and Persons with Disability Hon. Jenista Mhagama has called on National Social Security Fund’s (NSSF) Director General Masha Mshomba to work effectively and be more responsible to bring unity among workers and to bring positive changes in the Fund.
The remarks was given end of week in Morogoro when she was opening the 47 Fund’s newly elected Workers Council. Speaking during the event Hon. Jenista Mhagama expressed her positive expectations from the current NSSF Director General Masha Mshomba to unite the Fund as well as in addressing the challenges available.
Mhagama went on to say that NSSF is big and giant Social Security Fund with a lot of complex matters and challenges that needs to be effectively addressed to ensure that the Fund remain safe, maintain its good image while members quarries and challenges are attended accordingly.
On the other hand Hon. Jenista Mhagama called on all NSSF workers to assist and work cooperatively with Fund’s Director General so as to make one united NSSF as an unbreakable family bond.
It is high time now for all NSSF employees to focus on building the Fund and embracing a strong sense of unity within the Fund as only better option to achieve the intended objectives of the Fund.
Mhagama also directed the Fund’s Chairman of the Board of Trustees to ensure that NSSF remain one family and all issues are internally addressed while supervising staff welfare and other rights, as well as ensuring that Fund’s investment projects are implemented.
She stressed that Government wants to see results and progress of the Fund in terms of revenue growth and registering new members because it is within the Fund’s ability provided that the scope for private and informal sectors within the Country are not yet tapped.
